There are many ways to fill your free time, and lots of options for exercise and hobbies in the Fox Cities. Circus arts is an exciting way to stay active and be creative, which makes it a great recreation choice, but what makes learning circus arts at Fly Circus & Aerial Arts so special?
1. The Atmosphere: Having fun in the air (or on the ground) is Fly! We foster a culture of support and encouragement for all our students exploring circus arts. Our space is open to people of all genders and backgrounds. We pride ourselves on meeting people where they are on their aerial journey and helping students meet their individual goals.
2. Class Options: Fly Circus offers a variety of aerial classes for adults, as well as kids’ class options. Adult Aerial options include Pole, Lyra, Silks, Hammock, Dance Trapeze, and Lollipop. We also offer several grounded fitness classes, such as Barre, Stretchy & Flexy, and Conditioning.
3. Workshops: Try something different with a specialty workshop! Specialty Workshops are classes that aren't found on our regular class schedule. Examples of past workshops include Doubles Lyra, Straps, Body Loops, Dance, Chair, Burlesque, Flow Arts, & Acro. Our next scheduled workshop is February 15: Partner Stretching.
4. Membership and Class Pack Selections: We have something for everybody! Whether you want to stop in for just one class or go with an Unlimited Membership option (1 month, 6 months, 12 months), or something in-between, we’ve got you covered! Unlimited Members of Fly Circus & Aerial Arts also get special benefits, like free passes to select workshops, special pricing on photoshoots, and access to performance opportunities.
5. Photoshoots: Capture the results of your hard work on film! Our partner photographer, John Penokie, is an expert in taking beautiful photos of aerialists in motion, providing you with an abundance of snapshots that showcase your achievements in aerial arts. 2-hour photoshoot packages include a Fly coach to help direct you and as many apparatuses and outfit changes you can fit into 2 hours. Our popular Black Friday Sale offer of “mini-shoots” provides a similar experience on a smaller scale for those who catch the deal before it is gone.
6. Performance Opportunities: Share your talent with the world, or at least your friends and family, in a Fly Circus & Aerial Arts show! We put on 2 shows a year featuring our students and coaches: Our in-house silks showcase, which is open to all ages to attend, and our 18+ Halloween show, held off site. In warmer months, we also take part in community events, such as Light the Night Market in Appleton. We encourage our students to participate in these events, as well as our community to come and support our students!
Our passionate coaches and our creative and curious students come together to create something special at Fly Circus and Aerial Arts. For all the reasons listed above and so many more, we think you’ll find something to love in our studio. We hope to fly with you soon!
