Member Spotlight - Amanda

In another member spotlight, we talked with Fly Circus member, Amanda. Amanda has been a student at Fly Circus and Aerial Arts since the start of 2023 and has previously done "mostly yoga, hiking and skiing, ice skating and roller skating". What drew Amanda to the aerial arts was that she "saw people perform at a local night market, seven years ago" and "immediately fell in love". Amanda discovered Fly Circus and Aerial Arts and found it to be "welcoming, and definitely a safe space". The studio is also "fun and energetic" for those that are wondering. Her first aerial class was, "very hard and a little defeating, but it only made me want to keep going". It is to no surprise that only good things can come to those that keep up their aerial and fitness practice. For Amanda, she noticed how she changed physically, mentally and emotionally since that first day of class. "My confidence and the way I view myself and my body has improved remarkably since I've started. I feel strong and super badass." For those that are interested in the aerial arts, but are afraid to take that first class, Amanda says, "You should try it. It hurts a bit, but I promise it's worth it."
